If you’re looking for a quick and delicious lunch in Downtown Miami, you might want to check out Tacos El Porky, a small taqueria that specializes in pork tacos. But not just any pork tacos – these are made with al pastor meat shaved right off a rotating spit, topped with pineapple, onion, cilantro, and two kinds of sauces: a spicy red one and a creamy green one. They also have cochi tacos, which are loaded with crispy chicharrones and pickled onions, and gringa tacos, which are basically al pastor quesadillas with melted cheese.
Tacos El Porky has a loyal fan base of customers who rave about their tacos on Yelp and other platforms. Some of the most salient reviews are:
- “The taco al pastor was out of this world. Meat was roasted on the outside to a nice crisp texture, and tender and moist on the inside, with a fantastic flavor.”
- “The chicharron is amazing and I’ll be coming back for some flan and another jamaica (hibiscus) very soon.”
- “The cheesy and delicious gringa taco is actually more like an al pastor quesadilla than a taco. They combine the same al pastor ingredients together, add cheese, and let it all melt together between two flour tortillas on a hot flat top.”
The only downside of Tacos El Porky is that they only have three tacos on their menu, and they’re all pork-based. So if you’re vegetarian, vegan, or just not a fan of pork, you might want to look elsewhere. But if you love pork and tacos, you’ll be in heaven at Tacos El Porky.
