Petite Comité

Japandi bistro

If you’re looking for a new dining experience that blends Scandinavian simplicity with Japanese elegance and French sophistication, you might want to check out Petite Comité, a Japandi bistro in Miami. This cozy and chic restaurant offers a variety of dishes that are meant to be shared and savored, from raw seafood and sushi rolls to pasta and meat.

Petite Comité is the latest venture from 11 Ktchn Group, the same team behind Reunion Ktchn Bar, Blind Tiger, and Korner 67. They opened their doors in March 2023, hoping to introduce Japandi cuisine to the Miami food scene. Japandi is a term that describes a design aesthetic that combines Scandinavian minimalism with Japanese functionality and beauty. The same concept can be applied to food, as Petite Comité shows with its creative and playful menu.

The restaurant has a spacious terrace and an indoor dining area, both decorated with Scandinavian elements and Japanese touches. The walls are adorned with colorful murals by Miami artist Gabriela Benatar, who also happens to be the sister of one of the co-owners. The atmosphere is casual and inviting, perfect for a relaxed lunch or a romantic dinner.

The menu is divided into sections such as bites, raw, sushi rolls, veggie, pasta, rice, seafood, and meat. You can find dishes like octopus sumuzu, venison carpaccio, wagyu sliders, scallop tartare, trio crispy rice, Jerusalem artichoke cream, Swedish calamari, pork stroganoff in boule bread, creamy lobster garganelli, and wellington tenderloin with wine sauce. The portions are generous and the flavors are balanced and harmonious.

One of the highlights of Petite Comité is their weekday house oyster happy hour from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., where you can enjoy 50 percent off bubbly and sake drinks and $2 house oysters. They also serve brunch on weekends, featuring dishes like gruyere omelet and Nikkei tenderloin with cherry tomatoes, onions, and French fries.

Petite Comité has received rave reviews from customers who praise its service, quality, and originality. Some of the most salient reviews from Yelp are:
