Ms. Ingraham, Jackson Soul Food’s Chief Executive Officer, has been at the helm for over 30 years.
Shirlene nurtured Jackson Soul Food to excellence with a lot of time, care, delicious food, and devoted service to her regulars.
The Jacksons laid the groundwork for a family legacy of excellent businesses when they opened Mama’s Café, a soul cuisine restaurant with a homey atmosphere that quickly became a neighborhood favorite in Overtown.
The Jacksons instilled in each of their 12 children a commitment to providing excellent service to customers, as well as a love of good cuisine and the relaxing sounds of jazz.
A. Shirlene Jackson Ingraham Fostered the family business at the original Jackson Soul Food restaurant on 3rd Avenue (now closed) and 27th Avenue (currently open), where locals, tourists, and A-listers alike enjoy classic soul food dishes like catfish and biscuits.
Everyone from locals to CEOs to visitors to A-listers is welcome at Jackson Soul Food.
We appreciate your support over the past 60 years and hope you’ll join us for “The Soul Food Experience.”
